When reading Liar some of the emotions that were stirred up in me were excitement and a little boredom. Excitement because of I wanted to know what was going to happen next so I guess you could say I was a little anxious as well. Boredom because I didn’t really care about the family history after she started saying she was going to tell the truth. She just got out of control. That did it for me. I wanted to know what it meant by a punishing inconstant heart. Also what happen to Erin. All of sudden its focused on Zach and then some days later she goes missing. I wonder if she’s connected with Zach. I also want to know if those test they took that tells them about their=ir background were accurate or not. Micah I would say is a loner. She chooses not to fit in for some reason and likes to lie for the fun of it. If I were in that area I would be a loner to but I wouldn’t lie to make myself known. She seems really fast to have left Zach in the dust the way she did. I only mention this because of track and how its all about speed and pacing yourself. I didn’t like how the school only cared about their grades the most. How some were on scholarships I thought that was cool or whatever. They should focus on sports as well as the other minor things. I didn’t really learn much at the moment but it gets better.

I feel the same way. I want to know what happens next, but at the same time the way in which the story is told can be boring. I don't care about family history or about Micah's heightened senses. Also I wish there were chapters. Anytime a story is told from a persons point of view instead of a narrator it is usually pretty weird in my opinion. I hate how it talks about Erin and other things, but then it breaks up into meaningless page fill.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about sports being a bigger deal at that school. Both of my girls are in sports and it keeps us very busy and active. I think maybe if Micah was in sports it might help her to stay busy so that way maybe she won't want to lie as much.
ReplyDeleteAs you read into this week's section, you'll understand the reason for all the focus on the family illness.

What are you going to read now, Aaron, since you've finished the novel?
